I cry to you, Lord; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living

I am so thankful that God is my refuge. He keeps me safe from all the dangers seen and unseen. We can take comfort in knowing that God is our refuge (shelter). A shelter is design to protect us from the elements (cold, rain, wind, heat). God is here to be our refuge he wants to protect us from what the elements of sin and unbelieve can bring in our lives.

The verse says “I cry to “ to cry is to yell, or called out loudly. When we are need of a refuge we need to call out to the Lord that he and he alone is our refuge.

Lord help us to cry out to you that you are our refuge!!
