Like Fire God's Word Transforms

Fire is a chemical reaction that leads to the transformation of one chemical substances to another.    When we are in the word and the word is in us a transformation should be taking place.  Romans 12:2 {And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. }  We must allow the word of God to transform our mind and our lives. The Living Bible says it this way be new and different.

Growing up we use to watch the cartoon transformers. The first line of the theme song went Transformers More than meets the eye.  In other words what you see now is not all there is to me. See, there is more to you than what people see but you must allow God’s word to permanently transform you.

Do You have a Vision?

If we want to be successful in doing kingdom work we need to have a kingdom vision. In business a vision statement is meant to  serve as a clear guide for choosing not only a current course of action but future courses of action as well. In the kingdom vision must be God given and God inspire. The vision will also require you to move out of your comfort zone. Finally it will take faith in God for the vision to be fulfill.

What is your vision? What is it God has place on your heart to do for the kingdom? What is holding you back from moving forward?

Today I am praying that you move forward in kingdom vision.

Hold on to God's Hand

Today I learn that a former preschool student of mine has lost her father. She is only 4 years old and now  a heart broken mother is face with the difficult challenge of telling 6 children that their Dad has pass. As my heart ached for her I was reminded of just how insignificant my problems seem. My hardest task today was getting my 2 year old to take a nap.

Do I understand why this family must endure this, no but I trust the Father. He is still in control even when we do not understand. His love is never ending and it never fails. I pray that through this pain they will not only hold on to each other but to Father God.  It is when we are weak that He is strong.

No matter your challenge today, tomorrow, or even next week remember to hold to God’s unchanging hand. His hand is extend to all mankind we simply need to take hold of it and not let go.

Strength of My Heart

Psalms 73:26 - My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God [is] the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.

As I deal with the passing of my grandmother I have come to know, even more, that God is the strength of my heart.  I am ever dependent upon Him to bring comfort and peace to my heart.  The sweet presence of God is healing for my heart. Oh how He loves us, ever present and ever loving.
Maybe you are dealing with an overwhelming circumstance or your heart is filled with grief. Will you allow God to strengthen your heart? You can lay your head in the Father’s arms and know that He will wipe the tears from your eyes give you sweet peace for your soul.

"It Ain't Over" - Maurette Brown Clark

All Things Made by Him

John 1: 3 {AMP} All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.

What a wonderful thought to know that Jesus fingerprint is on everything we see.  As we admire the flowers, clouds, grass and even the bumble bees let it serve  as a reminder that Jesus was there in the beginning with God. Not one thing was made without Him that includes you and I. How amazingly awesome to know that His fingerprint is on our lives.  Today let’s be grateful for all creation including mankind.  Let’s pray for peace and that all men would come to value human life.

The Word is a Light

God’s word provides light to us. Psalms 119:105 - NUN. Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Most of us have had that awful experience of bumping into something as we head to the bathroom in the middle of the night. We didn’t turn the light on because we knew where every item in the room was or we didn’t want to bother our mate. However, the very painful experience of bumping into something serves as reminder of what happens when we are walk in the dark.

We need the word of God to illuminate our path so that we are not stumbling around in the dark. We need the light of God’s word so we know when and where to step. If you are confused about what your next step should be go to the word (BIBLE).

Father, today I pray that you cause us to have a love for your word and that we allow your word to light our path and guide our every step. In Jesus name Amen.

Tears of Healing

Luke 7:38 New International Version

As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them

Perhaps the tears that fell from her eyes where there because of desperation or from a place of brokenness. The most beautiful thing about tears is that they can be a language of their own.  Her tears spoke volumes as they wash over the Masters’ feet.  Not only did the tears she shed cleanse His feet they were cleansing her as well. It is at that point she moved from brokenness into worship.
Instead of crying because of the life she had lived she was in awe of who He was the Son of God, Savior, and Redeemer.
Don’t be ashamed to cry in the presence of the Savior. He understands your tears and there are no need for words. As you weep in His presence allow Our Lord to heal the hurts, wounds, or sadness of your past and present moment.
Father we ask that you comfort all those who need it on today. Wipe the tears from their eyes as they allow your healing love to flow in their life.

If God be for you

Romans 8:30-31New Living Translation (NLT)

30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory 31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

I am so grateful that we serve an awesome God! Our God is the creator of the universe, the giver and sustainer of all life.  He rules and reigns. He is for us.  No matter the situation or circumstance God is still in control.  Can we agree with the word ?   Why not  hold our heads up and say God is for us.
If we have made mistakes or missed the mark  we need to simply ask forgiveness.  We know He is just to forgive us.
Beloved God loves us and He is for us. We must  trust, believe, and walk in fellowship with Him.

Be Bless.

Prayer of Thanks

Thank you, Father for creating us in  your likeness. We have your DNA (divine nature attitude) in us. We will not be satisfied until we fully awake in your likeness. We know that there is power in our words and we chose today and everyday to agree with your word.  We are more than conquerors {Roman 8:37}, we are the sons of God {Galatians 3:26} we are a royal priesthood and a holy nation{1 Peter 2:9}. We are truly  fearfully and wonderfully made and wonderful are your works {Ps. 139:14} Again we say thank you for making man in your image.

Forgiven

Proverbs 28:13, "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confessed and forsakes them shall have mercy. “I am so grateful that we serve a forgiving God. No matter the issue He is waiting for us to simply confess our sins so that He can forgive us. 1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

God’s forgiveness is not based on our good deeds, or our church attendance just our simple but honest confession.  Are you in need of the forgiveness of God? If so why not repent (sincere resolve to turn away from sin and toward God) and confess to God.  Allow yourself to be cleanse by the precious blood of Jesus so that you can walk in the forgiving power of God.

The Whisper of God

Can you remember how many car horns you have heard today; or how many birds you heard chirping? Most of us can’t we have simply learn to tune out these everyday sounds, as we go about our busy day. I wonder how many of us have also tune out the whisper of God.

{1 Kings 19:11-12 (MSG)} Then he was told, “Go, stand on the mountain at attention before God. God will pass by. ”A hurricane wind ripped through the mountains and shattered the rocks before God, but God wasn’t to be found in the wind; after the wind an earthquake, but God wasn’t in the earthquake; and after the earthquake fire, but God wasn’t in the fire; and after the fire a gentle and quiet whisper.

Have we allowed the busyness of our day to drown out the gentle quiet whispers of God?  Is God not talking or are we not listening? Today I challenge you to take the time to quietly sit in the presence of God and listen for the whisper.

{John 10:27Amplified Bible (AMP)} The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me.

Prayer: Dear Father, today I wait for your whisper. Give me your divine instructions that I may do Your will.  In Jesus name Amen.

A Prayer for the Persecuted

2 Corinthians 4:8- 10 8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. Father, reach out to every believer/ Christian that is being persecuted for the sake of the gospel. I pray for every minister, missionary and believer who is putting their life on the line so that others may know you. Strengthen them, encourage their hearts. I ask that you divinely protect them from those that seek their lives. May their hope and faith be in you God and let them never be ashamed. Let your angles watch over them and their families. Bless them completely for they think not of themselves but of how to tell others of your saving grace. Give them the resources to continue to spread the Gospel. I pray that they stand strong and firm in their faith in Jesus name, Amen!

What a Love

The Bible is all about how much God loves us. Sometimes we can get wrapped up in how much we love God that we fail to remember just how much He loves us. Sometimes when we feel like we have done all we can, and it is not good enough, we need to remember that He loves us in our imperfections. But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.{Romans 5:8 AMP} What a love. God did not wait for us to have it together but He sent His Son to die while we were still a mess. The Blood of Jesus did not just cover our mess but it cleanses us from all sin {1 John 1:7}. My prayer for you today is that you have a love encounter with God today. May you feel His presence and know just how very much He loves you.

Come out and Acknowledge Jesus

Matthew 15: 21-22 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. Canaanites were known for their idol worship. In the Old Testament there was a time when the children of Israel even worshiped the idols of Canaan {Ps. 106:37-38.}This woman of Canaan had to come out of the religion and traditions of her family. If she wanted Jesus to heal her daughter she had turn away from those idols and acknowledge Jesus. {Hebrews11:6} But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. She acknowledge who Jesus was when she call Him Lord and Son of David. In 1Chronicles 17:11-13 we see the promise of Jesus Christ coming as a descendant of David and who would establish God’s kingdom on earth}. If we are to walk in faith and have our prayers answered we have to come out from sin and acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Prayer: Father strengthen us to be able to walk away from a life of sin to pursue a life with You, Father. Today and everyday we acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We are thankful for the price He paid. Amen.

God Loves You!

{John 3:16 }{“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. The creator of the universe loves you. He did not wait until we were perfect to love us. {Romans 5:8} but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Today, I challenge you to just think on the fact that God loves you. No matter what is going on in your life God loves you. We must be confident in that fact so that when the bumps in life come we can hold fast to Gods' amazing loves us.
