Special Prayer

Today I pray for every person who will visit this site. I pray that the blessings of God will run them down and over take them. I pray that every need will be met and body healed in Jesus name.  I pray that the spirit of depression will loose your people and that the joy of the Lord which is their strength will be renewed.

Some of us know people who are struggling with addiction they need your mighty hand to deliver them.  Bring deliverance and salvation to their hearts.

We need your Holy Spirit and the manifestation of your great power in our lives,  homes, families and communities. Strengthen your people that we might be able to stand and having done all stand.

Above all we need you. We can not make it without you. With you all things are possible.
We love you and we  are grateful for your grace and mercy.

Holy Spirit

John 14:16 Holy Spirit our Advocate

In John 14:16 Jesus refer to the Holy Spirit as advocate. The scripture reads “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever “. We can clearly see that another way the Holy Spirit helps us is by being our advocate.

An Advocate is one who supports, recommend, or champions for a certain cause or person.  During Biblical times when the Romans were in control the Jewish people where not often familiar with all the Romans laws and language so sometimes a Roman advocate would be hired (see an example of this in Acts 24:1). Jesus perhaps used this term to describe one of the functions of the Holy Spirit because the Jews were familiar with what an advocate did and how important it would be to have an advocate.

The Holy Spirit can help us as we seek to understand and know God. While we may not be familiar with the ways of God He is. He (the Holy Spirit) is not just familiar with the ways of God but the Holy Spirit is a part of the Trinity. We need the Holy Spirit to champion for us.

 His job is to help us become deeply intimate with the Father.  The Holy Spirit is our advocate He is our support. We need an advocate who not only knows the heart of the Father but can make known the heart of the Father to us.

But the ^[a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.

The Holy Spirit is the third part of the Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirit is very important in the life of the believer. The Holy Spirit is our helper here on this earth. WE need Him. The Amplified Bible gives us ways the Holy Spirit can help us. Over the next week we will look at the six ways the Holy Spirt can help us.

He is a comforter. In life there will be times that we all need to be comforted. During those times the only real comfort we get will be from the Holy Spirit. No matter much people try to comfort us there will be those time when the Spirit will our true source of comfort. For me this was during the time right after I lost my mother. The Holy Spirit was a true comforter. Many of nights the Spirit would give me a song to sing or a verse to read to comfort my aching heart.

If you are in need of comfort I challenge you to rest in the arms of the Spirit and allow Him to breath comfort to your spirit, soul and body.

Oneness

John 1:1-3New International Version (NIV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² He was with God in the beginning. ³ Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

It is amazing that both John and Genesis start the same in the beginning. We see in John that the Word was present in the beginning. John says the Word was with God and was God. The Word is just as divine as God they are one. John was letting us know that Jesus was the Word [(14) The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth}.  Jesus and the Father are one. {John³⁰ I and the Father are one.”}  Must importantly Jesus prayed that we too would be one with Him and the Father. {John 17:20-21} My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, ²¹ that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. This is my heart desire to have this type of relationship with Elohim.

I pray for true intimacy in our relationship with God. That we settle for nothing less. In Jesus name amen.

Isaiah 43:12

Isaiah 43 :12I have the declared  and save,I have proclaimed anthere was no foreign god  among you; therefore you are my witnesses says Lord, that I am God.

Did you know that by the life you lead you are a witness to the world that God is God. When people see you they should know that our God is real because they see is his presence and feel his glory when you enter their space. Today I challenge you to be a witness before the world that our God, is the one true and living God. I'm talking about the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The God who sent his only begotten son so that you and I might have eternal life.

¹⁴ “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. ¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

We live in world where darkness is present, but as the body of Christ we can expel darkness when we show up. We are the light of the world. We must be will to let our light shine.  How selfish of us to try and hid our light or allow fear and intimidation to cause us to shrink back. There are people hurting confused and in need of the light of God’s word, love and presence. We carry that!!

The true purpose of letting our light shine is so that God can be glorified. It is not about us but living in a way that God is glorified by those you encounter us.

Today challenge yourself to let your light shine. Live in a way that other see your life and begin to glorify your God in heaven.

Prayer of Thanks

Father today we just celebrate you for who you are & we thank you for the many blessings you put my loves. Thank you for bringing us this far on our journey.  Let us always be mindful of the many blessings you have poured upon our lives. We are forever  grateful for your son Jesus Christ through whom we have the forgiveness of sin. Thank you for the precious Holy Spirit who lives in leading us and guiding us into the truth of who you are and all you've done for us. We pray for our families, our communities and our nation. We pray that the hearts of men and women; young and old will be turned to you oh God. Thank you for your mighty hand of protection and we ask that you continually watch over us and keep us safe.. In Jesus name amen!

Be Encouraged

Today I want to encourage you. No matter what you are facing God is able to see you through. You must simply call on Him & trust Him. He came that we might have life, more abundantly. He is the faithful high priest. Today beloved trust him with your life and all the issues of life. He knows what you have need of. His timing is perfect! Be bless

Power of Influence

Acts 13:50 But the Jews incited the devout, prominent women and the leading men of the city, and instigated persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them forcibly out of their district.

Why was it that the Jews went to the women first? The same spirit that was present when Eve was tricked in the garden was present here when the Jew incited (KJV reads stirred up) these women.

We first must take notice that these were women who loved and feared God. They were women who were well know or important in the area. These women I believe really wanted to do what was right in God’s sight.

What was about these women, Eve and all women that causes the enemy to try and sway us? Our gift of the power of influence.  Women have been trusted with the power of influence.  Most mothers understand the power of influence for we are daily influencing our children.

But we must be careful because influence is not manipulation. Influence is the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something. While manipulation seeks to control or change someone’s behavior through underhanded, deceptive, or abusive tactics.

Influence will seek good not evil, it will seek to build up not tear down it will look for ways to encourage not discourage others. 

Father thank you for the gift of influence and may it be used to bring others closer to you. In Jesus name amen.
