John
19:28-30
After
this, Jesus, knowing[a] that all things were now accomplished, that
the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting
there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and
put it to His mouth. 30 So
when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head,
He gave up His spirit.
The
word finish means to bring (a task or activity) to
an end; complete. On this Resurrection Day how awesome it is to know that
Christ left no un-finish business. He
completed His task. John said it best in John 1:29 “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes
away the sin of the world! He dealt with our sin past, present, and future.
Have
a Glorious and bless Resurrection Day!
